JANESVILLE — Police say a motorcyclist was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Saturday afternoon after a crash on Janesville’s west side.
The Janesville Police and Fire Departments say they were dispatched to the intersection of W. Court St. and N. Pine St. about 4 p.m. Saturday for a traffic accident with injuries.
A west bound motorcycle was traveling at what investigators called a high rate of speed on W. Court Street when it crashed into a van turning from Court St north onto Pine St.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Mercy Hospital and then flown to via UW Madison via UW Med Flight.
Police said in a news release that the extent of the injury was life threatening at the time.
A portion of W. Court St was closed for two hours and has reopened to traffic.
