JANESVILLE — Janesville will get a jump on its 2023 July 4 festivities this year, with the annual fireworks show and Rock Aqua Jays events happening on Saturday, July 1.
Fireworks begin about 9:30 p.m. over the Rock River near the Memorial Drive bridge.
Events at Traxler Park begin at noon noon with a cornhole tournament, live music, food and drinks, pontoon rides and more.
The Rock Aqua Jays Ski Show Team performs in the evening, followed by a fireworks display sponsored by Festival Foods.
Milton is sticking to it’s traditional celebration on Independence Day itself.
The parade starts July 4 at 1 p.m. and travels down Madison Avenue. Live music by Taylor & Von and Rainbow Bridge will go from 5-11 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at dusk.
