JANESVILLE — Janesville letter carriers will join postal workers from across the country Saturday, May 13, 2023 for the annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

To participate, put your nonperishable donation in a bag by your mailbox, and letter carriers will pick it up and deliver to a local food bank.

All donations of non-perishable goods this year will go to the ECHO and Salvation Army food pantries.

In the 31 years since it began, the food drive has collected nearly 2 billion pounds of food for the hungry.

The food drive is traditionally held the second Saturday in May.

According to Janesville’s National Association of Letter Carrier’s Branch 572, Woodmans and Piggly Wiggly of Milton, Edgerton and Brodhead donated 59,000 grocery bags to be used at this year’s event.
