JANESVILLE — A new dining and entertainment space is coming to a vacant former law office in downtown Janesville, according to a new Facebook page launched this week.
The renovation will transform the historic property at 15 N Main Street, next to the Genisa Wine Bar.
“Welcome to the beginning of another exciting transformation in downtown Janesville,” read the post.
Originally built in 1870, the space will be completely renovated into a modernized drinking, dining and entertainment space, according to the post.
Television executive and Janesville native Greg Hughes, who opened the Genisa Wine Bar with partners in 2021, is behind the new project and says that it will complement the wine bar and patio between the two buildings.
The team operating Genisa will also operate the new venue, Hughes said.
Hughes said the new venue will not only be a great destination for Janesville residents and their guests, but also for people coming to the area from miles around.
It is expected to open this fall.
