JANESVILLE — The long-running travel show, Discover Wisconsin, will be filming Wednesday in Janesville.
Genisa Wine Bar downtown will be one location, according to a social media post.
“Want a chance to be on TV? Come Pack The Patio this Wednesday, April 26th at 6PM for our patio grand opening, while the crew from Discover Wisconsin will be filming an episode at Genisa,” read a Facebook post.
Discover Wisconsin is a weekly travel show and features profiles of cities, events and tourist attractions throughout the state.
It is the longest running tourism TV show in the United States, winning 20 National Telly Awards, and 9 Emmy nominations, with an Emmy win in 2012 for the 25th Anniversary Special.
Janesville’s last feature on Discover Wisconsin was in 2019.
The broadcast date hasn’t been announced. Discover Wisconsin airs Saturdays on WKOW TV.
