JANESVILLE — The Rock County sheriff has issued a slow, no-wake order for the entire Rock River because of high water levels.

According to the US Geological Survey Gauge in Afton, the water level for the Rock River is currently 8.52 feet. County Ordinance requires a slow-no-wake speed restriction be placed on the portion of the Rock River in Beloit between the W B R Townline Road Bridge and the Stateline when the water level reaches 8.5 feet or above.

The slow-no-wake restriction from W B R Townline Road Bridge to the Indianford Dam remains in effect. County Ordinance requires a slow-no-wake speed restriction be placed
on this portion of the Rock River when water levels exceed 6.50 feet in Afton.

The slow-no-wake remains in effect for the portion of the Rock River between the Indianford Dam and Lake Koshkonong.

The water level for Lake Koshkonong is 9.46 feet.

County Ordinance requires a slow-no-wake speed restriction be placed on the portion of the Rock River between the Indianford Dam and Lake Koshkonong when water levels
exceed 8.00 feet on Lake Koshkonong.
